The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object…
While opening a damaged Access database with Microsoft Access, you might come across the following error message:
“The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object “MSSysObjects”. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly.”

Here, “MSSysObjects” is an Access object name and it can be a system object or a user object. Whenever, system object or user object gets damaged and cannot be recognized, Access reports this error. This is a trappable Microsoft Jet and DAO error with error code 3011. Also while importing or linking MS Access Repair file, if you click Show Named Ranges in the Link Spreadsheet Wizard, you might receive this error. This error appears when you use the Visual FoxPro ODBC driver and you are unable to export to any folder except the default database folder. While trying to export this to any other folder, you might receive the error message mentioned below:
Note: This error message may be a result of conversion of a Microsoft Access 2.0 database to Access 2000 and database including TransferSpreadsheet macro action or Access Basic code with Range argument containing the sheet name with a named range.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products and the only resolution at the time is to always browse to the default database folder when you export an object.
The Microsoft Excel ISAM driver utilized by Access used to import or link spreadsheets trims the range name to 64 characters. The import or link fails because Access cannot find the trimmed range name in the spreadsheet. The reason behind 64-character truncation is that Access uses the name of the range as the table name in user database and table names are limited to 64 characters. User need not delete the existing longer; simply select the short names for the files while importing the spreadsheets into Access.
However, at times of major corruption in files, use Kernel for Access as this is designed specially to recover Access database files. This application repair corrupt Access database files damaged due to unexpected system shutdown or software crash, virus corruption and media corruption. Pertaining to its user friendly interface, the software recovers table structure, data and restores data structures like autonumber, primary key, field size, memo data, OLE data, table relationships and original date format.
